In the organizational context, the word "innovation" is often associated with private sector organizations, which are often perceived as more agile, adaptable, and able to withstand change than government agencies and nonprofit organizations. A nonprofit organization (NPO), also known as a non-business entity, not-for-profit organization, or nonprofit institution, is a legal entity organized and operated for a collective, public or social benefit, in contrast with an entity that operates as a business aiming to generate a profit for its owners. Through this program, you will explore the concepts of process- and design-based innovation. The global non-profit sector is vast, with over 1.5 million registered organisations in the US alone. You will come away with the tools to navigate and succeed in the new business landscape.
